(Head Office - Toronto, Canada)

Beginnings:
In her many years of dancing, Chan Hon Goh recognized a need for the development of top quality, professionally specified shoes, which would ease both the physical and financial pain of dancing. Along with her husband Chun Che, a prominent Toronto-based ballet teacher and choreographer, Ms Goh launched Principal by Chan Hon Goh™ in 1996 in Toronto, Canada. She has been designing and marketing her own dance supplies ever since.

Currently:
Over the years this Canadian company has rapidly grown and today Principal by Chan Hon Goh™ provides a successful line of pointe shoes, ballet slippers, character shoes, men’s ballet boots and shoe bags that are sold in stores in every major Canadian city, parts of the United States and Japan. Principal by Chan Hon Goh™ is the only Canadian company to manufacture products that are designed by dancers for dancers.

Company Mandate:
Ms Goh's mandate is to develop long-lasting, high-quality, affordable, handmade shoes, with material that provides the maximum balance, support and weight distribution needs for both training and performance. She regularly draws information from all tiers of dance professionals, in order to always be developing better products. She also works closely with the medical community to design shoes that benefit the health of dancers as they progress through their training.

Giving Back to the Dance Community:
Ms Goh is passionate about giving back to the dance community and fostering the talents of young dancers. Every year Principal by Chan Hon Goh™ donates a portion of its proceeds to dance competitions, festivals and non-profit organizations across Canada, including The National Ballet of Canada's Build-A-Ballet Fund.
