"Zdenek Konvalina and Chan Hon Goh are thrillingly romantic as Camille and the adulterous Valencienne."

“Vancouver raised and trained Chan Hon Goh performed the eponymous role. At the peak of her considerable technical and expressive powers at age 38, Goh gave a seamless performance that revealed deeply worked original choices. Her silent film star approach was matched by Guillaume Cote's naturalistic reading of Albrecht… Goh achieved an effect seldom realized, a ghostly girl floating through space, briefly caught mid-air.” “But the evening was Goh's, transformed from the skinny kid who won all the prizes into a mature artist of depth and authenticity .”

Giselle Sept 28, 2007 National Ballet of Canada
“Chan Hon Goh came home to Vancouver this week and scored a triumph as Giselle. Willowy and weightless, she claimed ownership of the role that one critic has called the ballerina's Hamlet but whose first act is more akin to the demise of Ophelia. Goh was guileless and winsome off the top, went heartbreakingly mad by intermission, and returned in the second act as a ghostly vision whose feet seemed rarely earthbound .”

The Legacy of Goh Choo San Sept, 2007 Singapore Dance Theatre

“But the star of the evening was Goh's niece, Goh Chan Hon. The principal dancer of the National Ballet of Canada graced the solemn night with only two pas de deux but her appearance was magical. In the second movement of Goh's 1979 piece Momentum, she and dancer Kuik Swee Boon tore through the dynamic movement with focused clarity of gesture and mood. Later as an ailing courtesan Marguerite, Chan Hon was the emblem of love and fear, trembling with expectation and the cold, clammy fear of death and thus eternal separation from her lover.”

“ A strong, precise dancer, she appeared as light as a feather in Kuik's ready arms and her delicate swoops in the air revealed a lofty elegance inherent in her composure.”

“The three vivace movements were performed with panache by Greta Hodgkinson and Aleksandar Antonijevic (First  Movement), Chan Hon Goh and Zdenek Konvalina (Third Movement) and Sonia Rodriquez and Piotr Stanczyk (Fourth Movement). The joy of dance literally poured off the stage as they and their admirable companions sailed through the piece at a dizzying pace.”

“But the most impressive pairing of the evening was revealed when Chan Hon Goh hit the stage with Zdenek Konvalina, the latest addition to the NBOC's already-impressive stable of dance talent. With the ethereal Goh, in fine form after a maternity leave, and Konvalina, it was the kind of performance that leaves an audience hungry for more of everything.”
